Earthquake - Earth Quake (1971) + Why Don't You Try Me (1972)

Starting out as Purple Earthquake in San Francisco, the band dropped "Purple" and signed to A&M Records in Los Angeles. Between 1971 and 1972,Berkeley, California's Earth Quake recorded 2 albums for A&M, which have been combined to form this release. www.evangeline.co.uk

The Beserkley label's token hard rock band, earthquake always had a pop sensibility underpinning their tough rocking sound. As well as fine original d=songs, they always had an ear for strong cover versions-Easy beats, Paul Revere, Velvets and Chairman of the Board.
