Ezhevika Statement

Here, at Ezhevika Fields, I'm providing information & listening preview samples of lost albums from the past. My only aim is to promote real art & music for some reasons currently unavailable according to my sources. If you are the artist or label & would like the link to be removed just contact me & it will be done.

If you wish to participate - feel free to send links in comments. If music is great & out of print/poorly distributed I'll publish it.

Check my wishlist here

I'd like to thank all original uploaders; collectors sharing music giving us the unique possibility to explore the culture. Thank you!

Take care,
Lisa Sinder

I've moved my blog to its new location http://sakalli.blog.hr, after nearly a month after the fall of the blogspot site.

I'd welcome your help to spread the new blog address across the Internet. I'd appreciate if you could add my blog to your link section. Thanks in advance.

Hi Lisa,

great to see you back! I was a bit worried when you fell silent so abruptly a few months ago...and I was hoping that it was not because of some serious personal reasons. After all, it is not easy to keep a blog going in the face of user indifference (lack of comments) and deletions. Well, I am happy to see new postings and I trust that you are doing fine. Welcome back!

Marian

Dear Lisa,
You made the right and good statement, it's fair, it's clear and it should keep quiet people claiming for any other "legal" disposals...whereas they don't have any right to set any rules down here.

Good to see you back, by the way!

Armute

Dear Lisa. I have recently discovered your blog. If only I had known it before the deletions. Anyway, thanks for the music you have shared and hope they don't bring you down. Keep on rockin' and sharing!

Hi Lisa,
You once posted an album by Chris Halaris with Nikos Xylouris guesting. Do you have any albums by Xylouris? Specifically 'Dionyse Kapakairi Mas' or 'Akoloythia'? Any help tracking these down would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Lisa,
this is a superb blog. I stumbled across it using the blog search for "Munju", just because I thought about posting their LPs. There's no need to post these again ;) Thanks a lot for the Egba LPs. I have seen then on record fairs, but never knew what to expect, so I never bought one. That might change.... I will have a look at your requests. Maybe there's something in my shelves...
At thegrowingbin.blogspot.com I am sharing mostly jazz, electronic and some obscurities. Hop around and see if anything fits your bias.

cheers, Basso

Hi Lisa from Witchseason

Is there any chance you could repost “The Happiest Band That Ever Played”? There's no other link to it anywhere else on the Web and I'm sure many people would be very grateful.

Many thanks

Hi Lisa, you're doing great work here :) Lots of wonderful music.. I just have started my own project about slovak and czech progressive music on http://czechoslovakprogrock.blogspot.com/ so you can check it out ;-) And also one remark - Prúdy - Zvoňte zvonky should have tag "Slovakia" instead of Czechoslovakia, just like Fermáta in czech music ;)

Hello again Lisa. I wanted to invite you and your readers to my new social network that I have created. It's similar in appearance to myspace (minus all the hormone-crazed teenagers), but it is intended to serve as a hangout for artists, musicians, and music lovers. I have also included a forum category for music bloggers such as yourself to promote their blogs and share updates. If you are interested, here is the url:

I hope to see you there. Take care.

Oh yeah i would also like to add, that i really appreciate what you and other blogs doing in introducing forgotten music. I believe great bands are influenced from music from the past. So in result you're creating inspiration.

Hi Lisa,

I don't know if you will ever read this, but I'm asking you a favor.
28 years ago I spent most of my days in a youth club in southern Germany (with a famous monastery round the corner).
There was a green cassette tape I enjoyed very much and listened frequently to, labeled Katamaran. Many years ago I managed to buy Footprints album at a flea market. But it wasn't the "special" one. Now and then I use shareminer to search for albums and this is how I came to your blog. Back in February you've posted the first Katamaran album, but shareonall is out of service now, so no links are available. Any chance to get a link or a re-upload? If yes, you can reach me here were I will show up infrequently or at toto13 at blah.ch, or at stairway 2 heaven forums.

Thanks for your attention,

Rainer

Hi Lisa,

Good to see that you may back again. I have set up my blog now over at http://www.raremp3.co.uk/ after one of two DCMA things on the same blogspot address. I am much like yourself in tracking down rarities and many requests for my new readers.

So I have added your site for some time now, not knowing whether you would be back or not and it would be nice to get a reciprical please. I have also tried to keep one or two of your albums alive (only the dead links)and actually dedicated those posts to you for the work you did in the first place in acquiring them.

If this meets your merits, I look forward not only in your imminent return but also being your blogging buddy.

Thank you

Chuntao

Gentle Giant mega-rare restored vinyl "Playing The Foole" Capitol Studios West Hollywood, Ca 1975-02-13 Killer sound and performance! mp3 sample

This fabulous set was recorded live in the studio with no audience. It was for broadcast in March on Los Angeles radio station KMET. Why this show has never been released is totally beyond me. The performance beats the commercially-available "Playing The Fool" by a mile. Although I haven't indicated it that way, I believe this to be a pre-fm recording. When you listen to the sample, you will understand why - the recording is amazing! This has to be the best recording and performance of "Funny Ways" that you will ever hear.

The following quotation is from Jack Skelly's great GG website, located at http://members.aol.com/JAskelly/GGpartfour.htm:

Feb. 13 In West Hollywood, California's Capitol Studios, Gentle Giant made a live studio recording, with no audience, meant for broadcast in March over KMET Radio in Los Angeles. It included much of the material they were performing on stage during their early 1975 tour. The group even recorded a brief musical jingle based on the radio station’s call letters, which, during the March broadcast, served as KMET’s station identification. Interestingly, this jingle has been officially released on SCRAPING THE BARREL under the title With Gentle Giant on KMET. The date of this live session is often listed as Jan. 1, but this date of Feb. 13 seems definitive. At the time, they were in the area for the nearby Santa Monica gig listed below, held that same evening. In fact, the Capitol Studios recording is often mistakenly listed as having been recorded in Santa Monica, as well.

Setlist:

Proclamation
Funny Ways
Experience
So Sincere
The Advent Of Panurge
Mister Class and Quality?

The end of this release included the single version of "The Power And The Glory". It had to be removed.

Lineage: TAKRL version ->Pop and click removal via Sound Forge ->FLAC encoding via Flac Frontend V1.1.3 (new version!) sectors aligned and verified. No noise reduction.

I have heard the Wizardo version of this LP. This sounds MUCH better.

Does anyone have any more of this event from a certified pre-fm tape? Please post it!

Enjoy!

A DoinkerTape

I am actually contacting you on behalf of Hans Pokora, who asked me me to please ask you to remove the links for his books which can be downloaded here for free. As he tells me, these downloads are not authorized. Could you please do this? MANY THANKS in advance, Antonio Barreiros

Hi Antonio!

The links were removed as requested. Any chance to get authorization from Hans? His books help people discover forgotten great albums - keeping the music & memories of the Artists alive. Would be great.

Looking forward for your response.
