"An all but forgotten Los Angeles SSW folk album which delivers
consistent guitar melodies courtesy of soon-to-be guitar icon Ry Cooder and session guitarist Mike Deasy.
For his part, Levine provides decent vocals and guitar work. The opening “Going To The Country” is a single worthy song, full of galloping arrangements and a catchy vocal melody. Other good cuts include the folk rock rural twang long winded get up “Richard Lee”, the tempo changing “Twenty-One Years Older” and lyrically cryptic drum dominant “Better Dad Than Dead”. The closing "Periwinkle Blue" talks about urinating on Redwood trees and such...This album would benefit from repeated spins."
Here, at Ezhevika Fields, I'm providing information & listening preview samples of lost albums from the past. My only aim is to promote real art & music for some reasons currently unavailable according to my sources. If you are the artist or label & would like the link to be removed just contact me & it will be done.
I'd like to thank all original uploaders; collectors sharing music giving us the unique possibility to explore the culture. Thank you!
