Lisa, if you ever find a better quality rip of this LP, I would be so eternally grateful. So impossible to find anywhere and ignored by its original label CBS. And I may be the world's biggest Xhol/Soul Caravan fan, although this debut album only hinted at the brilliance that was to come. At any rate, "Memories" could easily have been a top 40 hit in the US had it been released there, and their "Shotgun" is extremely far-out and maybe the best cover of that soul classic ever. Later on it became clear that Klaus Briest was the greatest Krautrock bassist of all time, truly the psychedelic James Jamerson, and the rest were all top class players as well. In my top 5 Kraut bands list along with Can, Faust, Amon Düül II and Neu!
Here, at Ezhevika Fields, I'm providing information & listening preview samples of lost albums from the past. My only aim is to promote real art & music for some reasons currently unavailable according to my sources. If you are the artist or label & would like the link to be removed just contact me & it will be done.
I'd like to thank all original uploaders; collectors sharing music giving us the unique possibility to explore the culture. Thank you!
