A bit (too) metallic (and artificial synths), traditional showing-off avant-prog (miRthkon etc.), with maybe too little things and space to grab. Some Zeuhl things and Jazz Fusion structures of course. It could be harsher, and for example that "mellotron" background ambient makes this sound somehow cheaper. This is quite much like some super technical metal.
