"PRISMA is one of the most obscure bands from the NETHERLANDS, and for that reason there's virtually no information about them (As a fact I couldn't verify if it was a real band or a project of Prisma Records with several artists of their rooster), something common in short lived bands from the late 70's and early 80's when the first golden era of Symphonic was gone and Neo Prog wasn't officially born.

The band was formed by Ron Van Der Sande in the keys and vocals, the bassist Carl Beukman, the guitarist Paul Bruinenberg and Robert Meyran in the drums, with the additional participation of Herb Quitz, who played congas in two tracks.

In October 1980 the band recorded in Geronimo Sound Studio (Leiden) . their only and eponymous album that was released the same year by Prisma Records. In this LP they present us a collection of melodic and atmospheric songs in the style of CAMEL but with a Jazzy feeling, somehow in the borderline of both genres.

As any collectors item, it's not easy to find, but it's worth the effort for people who love soft oneiric music."
