Here's a great (and totally obscure) 1980's record. Seems to build on the mid to late 1970's power pop formula, and adds some subtle 1980's touches to it - ie : this isn't crap technology worship à la Human League, but this isn't cartoonish roots/retro Rock worship à la Fleshtones either.
Good driving songs with excellent guitar soloing on top, sparse use of keyboards (used mostly for atmosphere), but these aren't proudly exhibited and rammed down your throat.. I don't know, it's just great - by the time the 4th song ended I was already hooked. Catchy, inventive, with a nice modern yet organic sound which leaves much space to guitars.. I wish there were more 1980's stuff as good as this.

Untamed Underground Hippie Psychedelic New Wave Scarcity
This rarity is a treat for anyone collecting basement underground private rock from the early 1980’s. Side One is straight forward melodic rock with double-tracked guitar feedback and icy keyboards, consistently good. The vocals have a cool underground vibe throughout. Side Two has more variety with some of the best songs. The industrial “This Is The Machine Age”, the haunting vocals and dirge-like melodies in “In Control” and the slow burning blazing guitar rocker “The Gold And Glittering Sea”.
