Ars Nova - Sunshine & Shadows (1969)

One of the best efforts of those years. Ars Nova had everything to be successful, catchy, great tunes, innovative sound, eclectic ideas. Probably they also were important laying the basis for the symphonic rock sounds that flourish in later years, as also pioneering the use of woods in a rock band format. They made use of medieval sounds, jazz, be bop, rock, jazz, and so on. In music it doesn't matter if something deals with symphonic, blues, art rock, or plain rock, the important thing is the substance and Ars Nova had it! Rafael Zamora

Their first album is a big favourite of mine. This second album loses a little of their original sound but is still worth a listen.
Thanks for the share!
Cheers
