THE CORRECT NAME OF THE BAND IS PEACE AND LOVE...NOT LOVE AND PEACE...A MEXICAN BAND WHOSE ORIGINS ARE IN TIJUANA,B.C. WITH ROOTS IN SANTANA AND THEY DON'T SOUND LIKE DEEP PURPLE AT ALL,PLEASE.THEY HAD SOME MUCICIANS FROM DAMASO PEREZ PRADO'S BAND PLAYING THE BONGOES AND TUMBAS.

I do agree with the other comment: Peace and Love - sadly - does not sound like deep purple at all... I'm Mexican, 39 years old and a rocker since childhood. Since I wasn't there when this band was happening, I've no idea what they sounded like live... but, long hair and yoga and possibly drugs aside, i wouldn't even call them rock... they were like a good-time salsa band, which in my book means nothing. by comparison, santana sounded like slayer, or, at least, blue cheer hahaha.. other bands from the period are way better: try El Ritual or the 1st Enigma album for example.. Mexico is a poor, conservative country. rock music was always a struggle, so bands had to compromise if they wanted to tour or make an album. most of these guys had the looks, but were so afraid of the lifstyle. after all, what would mommy say? bands in the 70's and 80's had to sing in poor English and talk about 'relevant stuff, like their lost loves and dancing at the club... NOT! cheers!
